Diet Slim Patch from Dexapad
 

Hi,

I am seeking information on the success of a diet slim patch called Dexapad, which apparently won best weight loss in a Woman's Own consumer test in August 2002. Details of anybody's experience with this product would be appreciated.

This probably belongs in the Buyer Beware forum but let me try and answer.

First off, what's "Women's Own"? I assume it's a magazine. I am pretty leery of 'consumer tests' anyway, unless they're from a reputable source such as Consumer Reports which has been around for over 50 years now. I wonder how much "Dexapad" (never heard of that company either - probably a fly-by-nighter) paid "Women's Own" to give their 'thumbs up' to such a dubious product.

Oooookay, now I just Googled Dexapad. Ya just gotta love how their packaging looks SO much like Dexatrim's - wonder if it's made by the same company??? (somehow I doubt it!)

I also just Googled Women's Own Magazine. Yeech. Looks like a fifth- rate version of Cosmopolitian. Remember that most magazines (Consumer Reports is a rare exception) rely on advertisers to stay in business. If this Dexapad product spends advertising dollars in this magazine, why would they print anything against it? In fact many articles end up being advertisements in disguise anyway...

I'd say save your money...
