If you're ok with posting your email here, we can send you our info. Otherwise, I guess you'll have to wait until you can PM. If you do post your email here, to try to minimize people from spamming you, you can - for example - list your email in the following format "username at yahoo dot com" -- rather than "[email protected]". I suspect that many people do this because there may malicious programs that are designed to search forums like this for email addresses. Heck, some may be sophisticated enough to figure out the "dot com" ploy used to try to hide them! ;) Anyway, the choice is yours. |
P.S. I didn't even know there was a "buddy list" until you just mentioned it, and I've been on this site for 7 months! LOL! ;)

Need toweigh today
|
Weighed today and gained two pounds. But not sure totally correct, tried on wii board and I have cast on one foot. Ive been stationary for 4 weeks, ive eaten a lot less calories than befoe when I waa working. My clothes feel like I lost some but the scale shows I gained. Im disappointed but not going to give up. Im on 2nd day of prep.

I would make sure you weigh yourself at the same time each day, and on the same scale, so you have the best comparison. My weight can fluctuate a lot during the day based upon a variety of factors. So, the only weight that matters to me is the one I do first thing in the morning. When I get home at night, because of all of the water I consumed during the day, my weight is about 4 to 6 pounds more. As I use the bathroom during the course of the evening and early morning, that water weight gradually decreases as I expel it. I know this because I used to weigh myself after each time I used the bathroom! I obsessed like that. For example, last night just before I went to bed (not early in the evening when I got home) I was 290.5. By the next morning I was 288.5. I'm sure I would have weighed-in at about 292.5 if I had weighed myself when I got home from work. I used to do that, but I'm not as obsessed with the scale now - because I pretty much know what it is going to say based upon past experiences. |

Eventually that scale will show you a number that reflects all your hard work. Stick with it, you can do it! And from what I remember having a cast on one foot, I had the best arms muscles of all my life. Lol. It's crazy how your body learns to compensate when you're not able to get around like you normally do. |
Well unforunately at a piece of cake, daughter inlaw birthday but it was small but I gave in after I said several times.smh so back to progress 3rd day of prep. Going to try and stick with it no matter what
|
just started
I just started and finished my prep!! I am AMAZED how my clothes and body feel! I start phase 2 tomorrow. I started at 188 and my goal is 135. They told me I should be there by June. Is this possible?
Is there a lot of saggy skin problems? I can not imagine that weight loss this quick can be forgiving on your skin! |
Well ate right today. Drank all the water

I kind of feel like I'm at another plateau - why don't these plateaus just leave me alone!
*sigh* I'll get over it, I know. I've been eating pretty well and drinking water, but I KNOW that it's water weight that's getting me. I'm eating some foods that are higher in sodium and I wake up in the morning with puffy eyelids. Yesterday morning, I weighed-in at 190.2. All my meals I had that day were right on track with QWLC guidelines. The one thing I had was around 7 pm, I went to the snowcone stand and got my favorite flavor (prepare yourself - this is a Texas thing and it may sound gross to some people) a dill pickle juice snowcone. I know the sodium in that thing has to be super high. I woke up with puffy eyelids this morning and weighed-in 192.8 :( I can drink plenty of water but no matter how much I drink, I still get bloated from high sodium snacks like the snowcone. All the other people who have done QWLC will have a super salty snack, up their water that day, and not get the bloat or puffiness. I can't figure out why my body likes to hold on to it for a day or two. :?: |

I was curious about that too, and from what I've read, it seems like people have different experiences with this issue. There are a number of factors which come in to play, including age, how much weight was gained, how long a person was at a high weight, etc. Take pregnancy, for example. Thin women who have children often have their bodies return to their pre-preganacy state - or close to it - after they give birth, without the loose skin problem. My guess is that what is going on there is that (1) the expansion of the skin is only temporary, (2) its happening at a time when they are young. My theory is that when you are heavy for almost your entire adult life (like I have been), and you have gained and lost and re-gained weight several times during a long period of time (like I have), an you lose weight when you are older (like I am doing), you are going to be more prone to having loose skin. There are areas on this website that discuss these issues. I have actually been participating in one such thread if you want to check it out: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/body...intainers.html |
