BMI men vs women
 

I am a bit confused about the whole BMI thing. I tried some calculators for me and by bf's details and they seem to have different BMI ratings for women and men.

However, I have read a few times that BMI doesn't distinguish between genders. Wikipedia provides the formula for BMI calculation and again, same for either gender.

If I use the same formula for my bf, he would be terribly skinny at a decent BMI. I don't think he can and want to achieve that. Especially since we started weight training and men do build up heavier and bulkier muscles. (Well, at least that's what I understand).

Any comments?
