Good morning. Brrrr its cold here again this morning and suppose to rain today. Guess I'll do stuff around the house today. I got a big pot of soup made yesterday so have lunch made for today. Now just have to figure out something for dinner. Got a walk in yesterday. Hope I can today.

Ellen- Your mushrooms sound yummy. Sorry about the 6 lbs. Dang..... Next week will be better.....

Solly- I made the stuffed pepper soup yesterday and I wasn't impressed with it. Now I've got a ton of it to eat. Its okay but not great. Thats kind of what my husband does. He kind of wants to follow along so I try to fix him close to what I have. Wish he was more of a veggie eater. Hope you're having a good day.

Off to finish my coffee....

Hi ladies. Still dizzy today. I came in an hour late b/c of it. I just talked to the Dr and he said to try part time and see a hearing specialist. Now I just have to get my boss to go for it. My biggest concern is my vacation. I refuse to lose all of it.

Ellen, your mushrooms sound wonderful. My DD is a mushroom freak. I will have to try them. I'm sure the loss is from being sick but it won't hang around too long. Especially with all your exervise.

Toni, the first phase is hard to go back to. When I started it, I was at home and I could cook ahead and have stuff on hand. Now I am struggling to find things to eat. I like the second cycle much better. It is not raining today but cold and theya re calling for rain tomorrow and then again starting on Monday thru Wed. I am so sick of this weather. Where is the warm.

Crystle, hope you are having great day.

Mercee, don't work too hard.

Have a great day.

Default Good evening

I finished off the month with another pound gone for a total of 5. I'm really surprised because the 5 pounds before these were SO hard to lose. But I'm happy. Today was run/walk day. I finished week 4 of C25K. I'll probably start week 5 Sunday. If not I'll wait until Monday. Still mostly just walking with Leslie.

Toni...is the soup just lacking something? Maybe you could add a little more spice or some Parmesan cheese. You are doing good getting in those walks. I am SO happy for you. You are doing this.

Ellen...so sorry the scales are being a bugger. You'll get that weight off soon. Sickness always throws our bodies off.

Solly...praying your boss is cooperative and you can work part time without losing your vacation. Half a pound is half a pound..they add up.

Mercee..Woo Hoo on your new walking speed!!!!

You ladies are the BEST on the whole web. ((hugggggzzzzz))

God bless,
Crystle

Good afternoon ladies. Been pretty busy today which is a good thing but then it makes my dizzy. No plans for the weekend. DH is painting all the woodwork in our house. So I guess I will try to wash it first for him. Then of course, we will be watching the Final Four finals on Saturday and pulling for the Cats to win.

Crystle, 5 lbs below is awesome. You are so inspiring. I wish I had the energy to walk at least.

Toni, it must be raining there as they are calling for rain here tonight.

Ellen, hope you are having a great day. Did you do WA today?

Mercee, enjoy your weekend off work.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Ellen,

Just finished my spicy tuna sandwich. I used Serrano pepper instead of jalapeno in it and it was wonderful. Enough heat you could tell there was peppers in it but not crazy hot. Spicy foods seem to satisfy me more than bland foods. I'm thinking seriously of making a pot of lentil soup. I just wish my guys would eat it. Last time it took me ten days to finish it. The only reason I didn't freeze it was because it would change the texture.

Solly...Remember it isn't all or nothing. If you only have two minutes in you go for it. You are going to get stronger and stronger it is just taking a little while. Sorry the dizziness is still hanging around. I can only imagine how frustrating that is for you.

(((Everybody))) Hope you are having a super Friday so far.

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Went to bed early last night and got a wonderful nights sleep. Woke up to a beautiful sunny day. I love it. Ate 2 soft boiled eggs, an orange and a cup of green tea. Also had some fiber one yogurt and going to have 4 prunes before 2. The 17 DD saids you can two fruits before 2 in the afternoon. Its kind of hard to get in the second one so I usually eat 4 prunes. You can also have two yogurts before 2. Hope to walk a bit today. Other than that think I will take it easy today. I'm still a little tired from yesterday. But its nice to have a well stocked fridge again.

Crystle- Wonderful pictures. Your post made me so happy.... Your tuna sounds good spicey. Maybe I'll put some salsa in mine. Have no peppers.

Solly- Don't work to hard washing those baseboards. That is a big job. Bet your house looks nice. Have a nice week end.

Guess I'll get off here. Everyone enjoy the day. Happy eating right....

We had a great weekend away at my sister in law's husband's birthday party. They had it catered and the food was wonderful. I ate too much. I did avoid eggs, and gluten stuff, but they had a grilled beef tenderloin that was fabulous. I don't eat much beef...and I definitely ate more than my fair share of the beef. I had major indigestion all night long! I slept very poorly.

We went to church in the morning at the big church that is a part of our denomination in that town, hoping to hear their well known senior pastor. Unfortunately, he was out of town. The number 2 guy wasn't bad, but I wish their senior pastor had been there. The church is beautiful, and the choir was amazingly good.

The weather was gorgeous all weekend, and lots of stuff was in bloom. The drive there and back was pleasant. I drove back and had to fight being really tired from not sleeping well. I sure slept well last night. I am finishing up breakfast, and will go to water aerobics in 45 minutes.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I will be back later!

Hi ladies, just getting on here. I have been super busy today. Finally got the baseboard in my bath & bedroom painted and Sunday put it all back together. It took me all day & night to clean house. I had to keep stopping and resting. I had to scrub my bathroom floor on my hands & knees. About every 5 months, it must be done. I had to rest 3 hours after that. I lost my balance a lot this weekend but was not dizzy int he head but once I get back to work it starts all over. I am fighting off being sick at my stomach now. Can't wait to go home.

It is storming here and a tornado watch is out. I had planned to grill fish for me & DD but not sure if DH can stand out there in the rain and wind.

Toni, Woo-hoo! 6lbs is awesome. Keep up the good work. We must have received your weather from last night today. My poor doggy is shaking like a leaf. I always mix my berries in my yogurt and eat it as a snack so that gives me one fruit and I eat the other at lunch.

Ellen, glad you had such a nice trip. Enjoy all that warm weather. It is supposed to be cold (50) tomorrow and then back to the 70's.

Crystle, never thought of adding jalepenos to my tuna. I would like that or even some red pepper flakes.

Have a great day. See you tomorrow.

Ate like a pig this weekend. Not so much volume as just things that I shouldn't. Working on getting back on track today.

Toni...WOO HOO Six pounds is GREAT!

Solly...I am sorry that you are feeling so poorly. You wouldn't believe how good the tuna is with the extra spice. Takes it to a whole new level. I add so many goodies that one can easily makes two sandwiches.

Ellen...WTG getting to water aerobics!

Mercee...hope you are having a super wonderful Monday.

((Everybody))

God bless,
Crystle

We had quite a storm last night. We went to sleep with the window open and I really enjoyed hearing the rain and thunder. I think it got colder and the storm worse later, cause Tom got up and closed the window after I fell asleep. The world looks cleaner, more pollen free, and the azaleas are even more in bloom this morning. But its kind of chilly.

I just finished a bowl of gluten free rice chex with almond milk and am sipping on my espresso. I was going to go to Ikea today, but rescheduled it for Thursday. I am planning on going down to the garagio today and throwing. I have been wanting to for a few days, but did not have time.

Yesterday I had lunch at Red Lobster. They have an allergy menu you can check. I was kind of surprised at the things that have eggs in them. I ended up with broiled flounder and steamed broccoli. The server felt sorry for me because I could not have the cheddar bay biscuits. ( they have eggs in them?!?!?) She gave me a baked potato for free. Yum! It was a great lunch. Then for dinner I made Tom salmon (which I really don't care for...) and I only ate a bite to try the recipe I got from a friend. It was a marinade of equal parts of soy sauce and apple cider, with some garlic in it. It turned out pretty good....for salmon!

Last night before the storm rolled in Tom picked the rest of the collards. We washed them in the bath tub them I rinsed them and chopped them and put them in a large trash bag and froze them. We tried doing that with some earlier and it worked great - just like they had gotten some frost on them. I cooked some last night from the freezer for dinner and they were good too. We are pretty pleased to have found this trick, since the last time we picked late collards and cooked them, they were bitter and nasty. I have four 13 gal. trash bags at least half full of collards in the freezer now! Enough for 8 or 10 meals, at least. I may take some out that have been frozen a week or so and cook them and refreeze them cooked. They take up a LOT less room!

Guess I will get on with my garagio time now...I hope everyone has a great day!

Good afternoon. I didn't think I was going to make it home last night. I walked in the door and went straight to bed. Didn't sleep (as I was a fraid I would not sleep at night). My head was pounding & my stomach was so upset. I am not working Thurs & Friday. I need to keep my diability claim open so I cannot work. Suits me. I am trying to do part time until I can meet with our diability guy. My boss thinks I need to go on full time diabilitywhile I can. That also works for me.

Ellen, it stormed here all day yesterday but cleared up last night. Must have moved your way. We even had tornado watches and warnings. Those greens sound so good. I love them with eggs and boiled potatoes. I love those cheese bisquits at Red Lobster. It is hard to pass on them.

Crystle, My eating was poor this weekend also, Trying to get back on track but when your stomach is upset it is hard to eat the right things. I ended up with soup last night. I do put celery and onions in my tuna so I will try the extra spice.

Toni, hope you are having a good day. Guess the storms have left you too.

Mercee, hope you are not working too hard.

Almost lunch time. I made some bean soup this morning so I am having that. Have a good day.

Oh my gosh our heater went out last night in the night. Brrrr. Talk about cold. DH has to call and get someone out to look at it. Thank goodness the weather man is calling for good weather the rest of the week. Eating has been good. Just having my coffee right now. Know I'm late but stayed in the warm covers longer.

Ellen- Have a great day and hope you get lots done. Collards sound great. Would like a nice bowl full. I'm sure I'd like them.

Crystle- Are you back to eating right? Hows the running going?

Solly- Did you talk to your boss about going part time? Sounds like you had a busy week end. I can't believe I'm on my second week of the 17DD. It will be nice to get to the place I can have a little beef. I found I don't really care for greek yogurt.

Mercee- Hope you're doing okay...

Back to my last cup of coffee.....
