If you are wanting a simple basic balanced eating plan, and more help along the lines of motivation-I would recommend WW over e-diets. They are both good, but I personally think the WW is more motivational, and you are more likely to find a chapter in your area if you want that added motivation of going to meetings, which is good if you are low in that area and need a boost.

We are mostly calorie counters or Weight Watcher members-losing with exercise and balanced eating-meaning no pills, fad diets like Cabbage Soup diet or 48 hour diet, etc. Slow and Steady wins the race.
