Apple Cidar Vinegar Diet

  • I started this diet January 25 and have already lost 4 pounds! I want to know if anyone else is on this and has some tips or anything that makes taking it easier. What i have done:

I mix teaspoon apple cidar vinegar and 2 tablespoons of honey with water, usally in a water bottle so I can take it to work. I drink half of the bottle 20 minutes before eating and drink the rest while eating. I have dropped cokes completely and exercise atleast 30 minutes a day, 10 minutes being intense aerobics. The exercise isn't a problem because I have always done this it's the drinkin the mix... My boss actually loss 120 pounds on this diet so I really want to stick with it!!
  • how much water is in the water bottle?
  • I would google search this first. I went to WebMD (I can't post links yet as far as I know) and there are a lot of risks involved as well including messing with your potassium levels, as well as, you bone density. It sounds like there's not enough research out there to verify that this works or not. Mostly it indicated for weight loss it just helps you feel fuller.
  • I have been doing this for about two months and so far haven't seen much in the way to results (lost only a little weight). The only thing I really noticed is my facial acne has cleared up. I will continue it because I bought a large bottle and will hope for so more results. I wonder if I'm drinking enough of it ( two tablespoons twice a day mixed with cranberry juice). I don't exercise too much because I am getting over pnemonia (sp?) but will get back in there as soon as I'm better.
  • My roommate's dog is sick and the advised "meds" for her is apple cider vinegar. The poor baby. I had to squirt it right down her throat and she's been loving ever since, and coughing. It's sad. With that, I will say, for her it was only 1/2 a teaspoon twice a day for her urinary tract.

I would say if you are using vinegar to lose weight, it's just not going to work. If it works for your face and you are putting it in cranberry juice, make sure you are drinking it through a straw so it's not hitting your teeth. The combined acids in the juice and the vinegar will erode the enamel on your teeth.
