Does anyone know....
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know what the percentage (for weight loss) should be for a daily intake of fat, protein and carbs? I've heard that it should be 30% fat, 30% and 40% protein, but I'm not really sure!! Thanks for your replies. ski-doogirl in Ontario, Canada |
My understanding is that in eating a healthy balanced diet, you should consume about 30% of your calories from fat, 10-20% from protein, and the rest from carbohydrates (preferrably less refined carbs). Proportions shouldn't change when you're losing, just decrease the amount & therefore the calories.
Hope that's helpful. Karen |
Thank you!
