Hi Guys and thank you so much for the replies.
the hippo panties are quite funny... lol I will be staying close the the Bay Area in California. I have a tendency to be really really shy in person too. Somtimes I think.. am I shy because I know I'm fat or is it because I was never really taught to speak up ... sooo many issues but I know things would be better if I did trim down. This trip for me is like a personal journey of self discovery. Goodness.. I'm in my 30s and I'm nowhere where I wanted to be. I guess its somewhat akin to feeling like you belong somewhere else.. and that you were meant for better things. Maybe this trip will show me all that and of couse.. maybe show me to be happy and content with what I do have. All I know..to get started.. is from the inside out. I've read so many articles here of the successful people and always.. its always said.. how much losing the weight has changed their lives. I'm wanting that for my own as well. This time I'll do it right. Thank you :) |
Bay area CA - you'll just need a light jacket. I grew up there and there is no snow in winter...depending on where you are there may be lots of rain, but no snow, and it won't get too cold. On the coldest days in San Fran, a long sleeve shirt and a short peacoat or jacket will do just fine.

Hippo panties ... that's hilarious! But sadly, it's also the typical attitude towards overweight people in Asia. Most shops only cater for sizes up to UK12-14 (not sure what that is in US sizes, but I know it's not BIG!) ... and they are classed as 'Large' ... At 186lbs, I'm typically in the XXXL range which you can only find in a couple of the speciality shops which cater for the larger Western woman, costing mega $$$!!
