Default Any "Amazing Race" Fans Wanna Have a Thread?

I'm totally addicted to The Amazing Race. Anyone else wanna have a thread now that the new season has started? Also, I'm a moron and am not all that sure what the regular time will be this season -- Sunday night at 9pm? Is that right?

YAY! And maybe once a few more teams are eliminated, we could pick our favorites! I don't know who I'm rooting for yet, although I do like the father-daughter team.

I also have a big crush on Phil .

LOL Phil is awesome. I like the father-daughter team too but I'm not sure who I'm rooting for yet. We'll have to see who gets really annoying... some team always does.

Oh yay! Other AR fans. My DH thinks I'm nuts, though I can sometimes get him to watch the actual tasks - he just can't stand the whining, etc. I just finished watching Season 1 on DVD (since I didn't start watching til Season 2) last weekend, and then ended with the start of Season 10 - an all AR weekend I was sorry to see the two more non-traditional teams get eliminated so quickly. And I don't have a favorite yet - though the guys that one have gotten on my nerves already!

Hi there! I just started watching TAR this season (although had heard about it for several seasons now).

I can't believe how much strength the challenges take - I don't think I could have ever rope climbed the Wall.

I don't really have a favorite team yet (but I have a crush on Erwin ), but Peter of Peter/Sarah bugs me like crazy.

Peter would drive me nuts, he is too much of a control freak. How can she like him telling her what to do all the time? Although he does encourage her throughout the race so far.

OMG I think Peter is so annoying too. I don't know how she puts up with his holier-than-thou attitude.

I don't like Peter EITHER. And in my opinion, there's been a bit too much crying ALREADY. They haven't even hit the point of total exhaustion yet -- I'd like to think it would take me more than a couple of days to become so sleep-deprived that detours made me cry.

Here's an ethical question: If you were on the race and it was very early in the race (like it is now) would you stop to help another team out if their car broke down?

Also -- and this has been bugging me for like 5 years -- does anyone know where Phil is FROM? Sounds like he was educated in the U.S. and still has traces of a South African, British, or Canadian accent.

I'm intrigued...

...and I can't get on the CBS website to research it cuz my browser sucks.

From the CBS Website:

Originally from New Zealand, Keoghan lives with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles. His birth date is May 31.
