Health Insurance need help!
 

Hello guys Im, from Minnesota, I just turned 20 last April and my health insurance has been cancelled, I got a physical to check things out before then and my alt and ast liver enzyms were up so I got a ultrasound of my liver, nothing found.. got another blood test a couple days later and they were normal, then I turned 20 and my insurance cancelled..
But recently, I have been having this pain in my upper middle back down through my right side, it hurts when I stretch out and it hurts when I take deep breaths, the pain on a scale of 1-10 is about an 8 when I take deep breaths and about a 7 when I stretch the wrong way. I have some trouble swallowing too.. I am concern because if something happens to me my life is not insured.
I have been surfing the net for good health insurance, i came into http://www.insurancepaylite.com has anyone tried online insurance? how effective is the online quote system? can i depend my money on these?

I'm actually in the health insurance biz myself and had this same problem two years ago at 22 years old, which is somewhat uncommon for males but not females. Get some insurance fast and ask about prexisting condition clauses. This turned out to be a gall bladder problem for me. Liver enzymes can tell a lot of things about your upper GI. Talk to your doctor after you get insurance, he/she may request some radiology on your gall bladder. I recommend it, although it took 2 ultrasounds and a 2 radiology tests to determine that I had sludge in my gall bladder and that it eventually died.

In the mean time, dont eat foods with a lot of fat or oil. No McDonalds, Ranch dressing, heavy cheese or Taco Bell, which my doctor said to stay away for life :( A new aquantaince and I had ours removed at the same time after we both became addicted to Olive Garden's artichoke spinich dip. We finally met 3 weeks ago and we had the same situation. Stay away from anything thick, fried, fattening or oily.

These gall bladder removal surgeries are common, so dont be afraid. But they do take a long time to get into. Mine took a month, some up to 3 months. In the mean time, your doctor may perscibe Nexium ($50 per miracle pill) if your insurance covers it or Percucet. They work wonders.

Your main goal is to get insurance that will not classify this as a preexisting condition. Avoid one with high deductables, because you will have to pay them before your bill is covered. Ask about the perscription tiers and the provider/facility tiers. Then see your doctor.

The best health insurance that I have found is Blue Cross/Blue Shield and it didn't have a pre-existing clause. I did not get it on-line and not sure if it's available that way. I, too have elevated liver enzymes. Mine are due to a rare liver disease, but years before having the liver problems they were very elevated due to gallbladder disease. With the added symptom of difficulty swallowing, I would definitely recommend having this checked out by a specialist as soon as you can.

Thanks digineural, yup I went to a doctor and gave me prescription on what medicine should i take, she said that i will feel better this comming few days, and im happy with that comment:)

what im doin now is surfing for quotes from insurance companies which the site has,i was able to campare their prices and choose, yeah I have checked blue cross, same as farmers, thye're ok too... any other suggestions?

I'm a programmer for blue cross blue shield and I have to say they are great. However, they are no where as good as United Healthcare. Unfortunately, United stopped insuring individuals in New York and only works through employers. If they can do individuals in your area, and you can afford it, do it. They don't require any referrals and everything is covered, so you get the real medications and not the generics.
