Okay, stupid question!
Can you heat a towel in the microwave?
I've got a face treatment I'd like to do and it says before putting the stuff on your face, place a hot towel on it to open pores. Can I stick a towel in the microwave to heat it? And how long should I leave it in there? Told ya it was a silly question, but I've never done that before  |
Yep, you sure can....dampen it a bit first for some moist heat. It feels really good, as long as it's not too hot!

My DH does this all the time (well, with a washcloth) to get a nice moist cloth for his face before he shaves. Just be careful, esp if it's a damp cloth, it can get really hot! Experiment with the time/power. :)

We put a cup of water to heat in the microwave and let it steam then clean it up. Well last week my hubby told my 10 year old son to "put a cup of water in the microwave" so he measures a cup of water and POURS it in the microwave. Fried it!!
