White Castle
 

I haven't eaten fast food for over a year and a half. No Burger King, no McDonalds, no Wendy's, no Taco Bell....nothing. I used to eat it at least twice a week....Wendy's for the double bacon cheese burger, Burger King for fries and onion ring dip, and McDonald's for the LARGE strawberry shake.

Well, I went to the beach on Saturday. We stopped at White Castle on the way there. I haven't had White Castle since I was a little girl! I ate 4 cheeseburgers on the way there and we stopped again on the way home and ate three more. It was fantastic! White Castle has the best burgers in the world!

So, yes, I ate 7 mini-cheeseburgers from White Castle in one day and I don't feel bad about it at all!!!

Interesting how you stopped eating at fast food restaurants and managed to drop 120 pounds. I think that says more then anything. Congrats on the weight loss.

Are these cheeseburgers like little tiny things or something? They are only 160 calories each in calorie king...even 7 of them...why not? As long as it's an every once in a while thing...

Yes, they're very tiny. They are the best fast food hamburgers on the face of the planet! LOL I've also never seen a White Castle anywhere else but certain spots in NJ. I would have to drive over an hour to a White Castle, so it's definately only going to be a once every few years type of thing! LOL

There's also a White Castle sort of place called Crystal's. I dunno...I can't eat a burger without ketchup. Not my cup of tea.

I think its great to indulge here and there! I for one, like cheeseburgers. Some of them are like 1000 calories, but I can barely eat a half anyway, and it feels so great to reward myself!

I remember going to White Castle when I was a kid and lived in St. Louis Mo... here in Alabama, we have Krystal's which is basically the same thing! I like catsup on mine too... I usually add it...

We have White Castles and Krystals attached to gas stations since they're so popular. Love them! I grab them when I'm busy running errands and decide to give myself a treat. My big treat is the Krystal Chik. Higher calorie but sooooo good!

White Castles are great! I don't go there very often, but yes the burgers are very small and yes simular to Krystals, but in my opinion, better............Good for you for giving up fast food, I am in the midsts of trying, very very tough!

Interresting to read that they have White Castles in New Jersey! We live in St Louis and have only ever seen them right in this immediate area....can't even get them by our lake house only 3 hours away!

I grew up in the Chicago area, and White Castle is very prevalent there -- I think it's the area where they originated, and they've spread out a bit since then. We can buy the hamburgers in the frozen section in stores down here in FL, but I haven't tried them. They'd probably be alright, but I dunno...there's something about driving through and picking up a few sliders that makes them taste better.... LOL

FL_Chickie, we have been vacationing in FL for the last week, and so far I have avoided all the fast foods...I do want to eat at Ruby Tuesdays, and cracker barrel,,(cause we don't have those in Canada) but...Im just saying no. I did eat at Golden Corral,,,very bad bad place. I think I ate all my calories for the full week all in that one sitting.

One good thing,,,the weather being so hot I barely have an appetite.

White Castle's is the only place I will get fast food from anymore...and even then,it's once or twice a year.I have given up every other place,but I just can't seem to give up a slider now and then :burger: :drool:

my husband bought white castles one time .. brought a cpl home and put em in fridge..later when went to get em out to heat em up and eat em ..they were just about white with the grease that had hardened .. lol .. i looked at him and said better your stomach than mine buddy!
