I work in a university with many "respectable" scientists and professors who are usually over middle-aged (fatherly to their students). Today I attended a meeting where they were discussing the progress of their students in this month's batch. one of the "respectable" professor couldnt remember the names of students and used adjectives to describe them like one with short hair, the boy with blue shirt etc...
It was all fine until he said this student was answering something tday and when asked which student he said "the skinny attractive one with red skirt"!!!(this student was tall and thin)
after 2-3 minutes for another student he says "the fat ugly-looking one with a huge black tote"!!!(this student was a bit overweight)
I felt very very angry but didnt have the guts to say anything. But do people as old and respectable as him also think this low? I think it was cheap of him to call such things as "fat and ugly" or "skinny and attractive"... (I am glad no students were present)
what can we expect from other sif such people who are this senior think like this? I have certianly lost respect for him!
