I use a product called Orange TKO, it has worked really well for me when I am fostering non-housetrained animals. I don't know if it is available in the States though...

Yes, she's been spayed. Most all animal rescue organizations spay and neuter their animals, so she was spayed when we got her.

She was 'used up' by this breeder so badly that her body was depleted of calcium and other nutrients. So much so that most all of her teeth were rotted and her jaw was broken.

She's the sweetest little dog, though. Our other doxie is also a rescue. I believe in giving the 'throw-aways' a second chance at life.

Good idea on calling the vet, I think I'll do that right now.
AW poor baby. Bless you for saving her and giving her a good life. There are so many dogs in need. I would also check the vet, maybe she cannot help herself. But if she was crated and learned to eliminate in her crate then that is a very difficult thing to untrain. Thats just one more reason why you should never buy from Petstores or places that crate dogs 24-7 (other than the obvious reasons) but dogs that learn to eliminate in their sleeping areas often never learn otherwise.

Good Luck! Also the rescue you adopted her from could possibly help you with any problems too.

Thanks, everyone, I appreciate your input. I'll try these products and also get with my vet, maybe they'll have a solution as well.

One more thing to consider: some female dogs lose bladder control after they are spayed. It usually has something to do with a hormonal imbalance. Especially if she is mainly "going" outside but you're finding a few spots here or there, it could be the case for her. There are a couple of different prescriptions that the vet can give you that will correct it and keep this from happening.
