Default How often can you eat fish?

My question is a little silly I guess -

I have done my research regarding the mercury content of fish and I try to only eat the "acceptable" ones, but I don't know if there is a limit to how many dinners I should eat it? Does anyone know?

Thanks!!!

I was talking to a nutritionist, and he said you could eat tuna twice a week without worrying about the mercury, and tuna's pretty high on the food chain, so it's not the safest. If you're being careful to eat the ones with lower mercury levels, then I'm sure it'd be okay at least twice a week, if not more.

Hi,

The EPA has an excellent article, "What you need to know about mercury in fish and shellfish"

http://www.epa.gov/waterscience/fishadvice/advice.html

It is very informative

I hope that helps!

I am not a big worrier about that kind of stuff so unfortunately i dont have an answer for you. I say if you're not pregnant, eat anything you want as far as fish goes. Its good for you. I love seared tuna, its my favorite meal and if it kills me well at least i would die a happy woman
