A Photoshop experiment.

  • Yesterday I decided to take a few pictures of myself just because I was feeling goofy (I set the camera to rapid fire and made a bunch of funny faces, like in a photo booth!). But then I started looking at one of them and realizing that I could definitely put my Photoshop skills to work. I decided to manipulate one of my photos to project what I will probably look like when I reach my goal weight. Here is what I came up with:

I've been feeling a little down the last week or two, feeling really really fat some days... but this picture has inspired me. I'm thinking about printing it out and hanging it on my wall to remind myself that THIS IS WHAT I CAN LOOK LIKE if I just keep moving and doing what I'm doing. I won't let myself give up. I won't let myself give in to temptation because it's not worth my health to eat bad food. Most people don't reach maturity until 20-21. I'm going to be 19 on Thursday, so my time to set myself up for a successfully healthy life is running out. I know that it's never too late to lose weight, but I also know that the sooner, the better!
  • Lol!

Thats extremely creative... and thats all I have to say .

That's all? My picture looks funny?
  • Wow - your Photoshop skills are phenomenal! It's very subtle, but very natural... I'm impressed!
  • What a super way to motivate yourself. I've always done it by having "before" photos around. So cool to think positively and have "after" photos of yourself. You look great BTW.
  • That's cool, Lydia! You are pretty in both pics, tho!
  • Thanks everyone. I thought it was pretty cool, that's why I decided to share

I completely agree with both statements--what a great idea and you do look great!!
  • If I sent you all my old photos, could you make it look like I never got fat at all? Just kidding, but your skills are awesome, and I agree that's a great way to motivate yourself!

hahaha that's too funny. I could probably do that, but even better, if you (or anyone here, for that matter) wanted, you could send me your current picture and I could try to work my "magic" on them to show what your projected final appearance will be. I'm always looking for guinea pigs and I try to constantly learn new techniques and help people out. Just something to think about. And if anyone does want to take me up on the offer, a tip for better pictures: the bigger the better.
  • I think you're beautiful in both pics... *sigh* to be 19 with such healthy skin again, enjoy your youth
  • Well Lydia, if you're up for the challenge. I've already lost the bulk of my weight. But I'm curious if you thinned up a before picture of me if it would resemble me currently. Be cool to find out. So, if ya wanna: http://www.techtrek.com/Hold/AlmostH...0&%20After.jpg
  • Oh, wow! That's a cool idea.
