Okay - I like to think I'm relatively internet savvy... but can someone please explain to me what DH, DD, and DS stand for? I understand people are talking about their husbands and kids, but I'm at a loss as to what those letters could be abbreviations for. If anyone can shed light on this i'd appreciate it!

The D usually stands for darling or dear. The latter is husband, son, daughter, etc. :)

I'd say most of us don't really refer to our husbands as darling or dear, but it flows nicely. :D
