"I'm Beautiful Inside", says the For Sale Sign...

  • Where I live, it seems there is no shortage of homes for sale. There is one in particular that I drive by daily. It's an average looking home. Part brick. Part clapboard. Two-story, decent lot with trees. It's an older home to be sure, but looks to be in good shape.

The For Sale sign has a little topper on it that says "I'm Beautiful Inside".

Many are the days that I feel I have to wear that same sign. As if I need to justify my existance to society, just as the Real Estate agent feels it's necessary to justify this home's worthiness to prospective buyers. As if the house just isn't good enough as it is because it's not one of those shiny new McMansions...

Every time I see that sign, it just sort of hits me right *there*... if you know what I mean...
  • That hits me right *there* too. I can relate to needing to wear a sign that says Beautiful Inside. Because so often people lose sight of the whole worth of a person. We are more than just an outside shell. We are a whole package and it would be nice to be looked at as such. I am going to tell myself I am Beautiful Inside even if others don't care to come close enough to see it too.
  • That's a great story Lena and very relevant.

    Thanks for sharing!
  • I think we have all fault that way..

Hugz to every one who has today!
  • Lena that is really really nice and so so true that we lose sight of our inner beauty at times! Thanks for the reminder
  • That is really beautiful, Lena.
  • So so true. I tthink we all need a sign to remind us that we're beautiful inside.
    Thanks for sharing.
