I've read a million little pieces. I liked it a lot and it provides an insight to an addictive personality, some of which I can relate to! I think that book inspired me to start off on my weightloss efforts in earnest (don't ask me why!) again!

I've got Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell but I found the writing style hard to get on with! I might pick it up again soon. Kate, I love that Bill Bryson, I think I've read it about 4 or 5 times already!

But I'm currently reading The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy. I've got a Dickens and some other classics to plough through too! But I do love Hardy the most!

I've just about finished "WIcked" , about the wicked witch from wizard of oz. I love this book. It's a lot different than I thought it would be. A very enjoyable read. Normally I don't go through 350 pages in two days.

It's not the most hard core though provoking book but there are aspects of it that really do make you think.

I'm trying to finish up "The Face" by Dean Koontz. It isn't going as fast as I thought it would but I hate to not finish a book just cause it gets slow in spots. I just finished "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks. I think I read that one in like a few hours!

I'm currently reading the "Chronicles of Narnia" series by C.S. Lewis. I recently finished "Wicked" and want to read "Son of a Witch" next. I also recently finished "Needful Things" by Stephen King. I think it is one of the few books of his I had not read.

You could call me a readaholic....

I am reading "The Chronicles of Narnia". I love fantasy and mystery books. I also enjoy Stephen King books and anything on the history of Mount Everest.

I love Anne Rice, too. I have all her Vampire and Mayfair witch series.

I just got her new book which is regarding Christ. I am really curious on how she will deal with this story.

I'm reading A Million Little Pieces. I am about half way through, and I absolutly love it.
2frustrated-The book in some way seems to have helped me with my weight loss as well oddly enough.

I just got "Origin in Death" by Nora Roberts (writing as JD Robb). I aslo like James Patterson. Two really good, but different books I really enjoyed this year were the "Kite Runner" , sorry I can't remeber the author which is a really good story about two boys that grew up together in Afganistan and the other was "Shutter Island" by Dennis Lehane who also wrote Mystic River which was made into a movie a few years ago. Shutter Island is a mystery and the ending is awesome...if you read it don't cheat and read ahead so you will not see it coming.

Are you going to see the movie? My kids and I read the "Chronicles of Narnia" when they were little. My 18 year old daughter and I are thinking about going.

"Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates" by Tom Robbins and I am listening to the audio version of "Running with Scissors" by Augusten Burroughs.

I'm an avid reader too, usually with a couple books going at a time (to fit different moods!). Along with lighter fiction, I tend to pick "themes" in nonfiction and read about 6 books in that theme. My current theme is Climate Change so right now I'm reading Mark Lynas' _High Tide_. I'm also reading _Tales from the Scale_ (fun) and _Calorie Queens_ (makes sense to me but based on my current calorie consumption and weight loss, they're 12 kcal/pound is not a good guesstimate for my current metabolism) since I'm just starting on the diet/exercise changes and I need the motivation (a couple of you have me sold now on Frey's A Million Little Pieces). I just finished _Falling Awake_ by Jayne Ann Krentz and _Democracy Matters_ by Cornel West.
