Yeah I read that a few years ago, didn't like it much though. How come all teen books are about anorexia these days??

kaitikat 05-31-2004 03:27 PM

hello dilleight...i thought it was a really good book for teens my age.
i think many teenage books are about anorexia because they want to aware teens my age about the dangers of this illness.

Yes but I just think there are too many and a lot of them make being annorexic sound cool! They always made me feel fat and I really regret thinking I was fat before I was 16 because I wasn't at all!

kaitikat 05-31-2004 05:49 PM

oh ok...u are kinda right i guess...

dilleight 05-31-2004 06:40 PM

Kinda right! He he. Well I think it is mostly a matter of taste anyway :) I'm sure not everyone likes reading crime books all the time either (when I don't have to read politics and philosophy) The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is a cool series to read if you get fed up with reading about teenage girls

a) Finding themselves
b) Getting pregnant
c) With parents divorcing
d) With eating disorders

Have fun!

You know another cool teen book is The summer of the travelling pants I think that is what it is called. Its a book about close friendships and bonds. The second one is good, I loved it and I'm not even a teen ;)
I'm going to check out that hitchhikers guide it sounds neat!

Not so much a teen book, but defintely a switch from anorexia. Try Betsy Lerner's "Food and Loathing". A lament to at times relate and others laugh at. :)
