I've just gone off the birth control pill for the first time in 14 years. My first period after going off is 5 days late. I've taken a home test and I'm not pregnant. Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with going off the pill, and if it's normal for my cycles to be different for awhile.

yes, totally normal. Your body has to have an adjustment period(time). Since you have been on BCP for some time, it might take up to 6 months for your period(cycle) to become regulated.
