Question Embarrassed by old photos?

My primary school teacher just posted a photo of me as a child where I'm somehow rounder and taller than everyone else in the photo, and I had the most miserable expression. I've mostly transformed but still

I guess I wouldn't draw attention to it by posting on it. If she tagged you in it, you may remove the tag. But also, you are far away from that little kid and have grown up I have the reverse problem, I was very thin as a kid and then got heavy as a teenager. We can only move forwards, not backwards... chin up!

I'd just own it. That was you as a kid, and you weren't just your weight or height. Remember the good times around then.

I was also rounder and taller (I loved being taller, though) than all the kids my age (sadly, my vertical growth topped out at 5' 5", but my weight kept going... So now I'm not tall and I'm overweight ).

I love my fat kid pics because they show me how far I've come. The other day I shared on FB that I was NEVER able to do the monkey bars as a fat kid and now I can do them at 34 and had no idea I could do them until last week!

I was also on the tall side and somewhat overweight (thought not as overweight as I was allowed to believe, and sometimes not overweight at all) AND my mom dressed me funny. So I can throw bad haircuts and ugly glasses into the mix.

When I see old photos, I want to hug that girl. She could've used some support.

Would I rather they not find their way to Facebook? ABSOLUTELY.

Mantas, I believe that is a sign that you have good healthy sense of self esteem. There are so many people who say they hate pictures of themselves, when actually they are very attractive and photogenic. For whatever reason, they don't see that in themselves. It's important to like who you are, right now, no matter what.

I look at childhood photos and giggle at the awkward phases that we were all experiencing. Sure, I was the fat kid...but the kid in the rattails and acid washed jeans just looks ridiculous this many years later too. The big hair. The makeup pancaked on with the makeup line around the jaw. It's all nostalgia.
