Color scheme help!
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
This is just for fun (and educational purpose too...). I just recently bought a T-shirt. Although it is a simple Cotton T, I absolutely love the colors and design! I've decided to use it sparingly so it would last long. I went to the store the other day trying to purchase some simple fashion jewel/necklace that would go with it, but unable to choose because there are 2 colors in the T and I do not know much about the complimentary color scheme. Can anyone help here? What color necklace should I wear? Mods: If this thread is not correct for this forum, kindly delete. Many thanks. |

I am looking for a contrasting or complimentary color that would pop-out! I managed to wear something like that for another T of mine, also purchased recently:

Because there are so many colors in the shirt I would advise not to add another color, complimentary or not. Silver or gold might work but I'd wear it with a dangling earing and a chunky bracelet because there is already plenty of color near your neckline (which is why you'd want a colorful necklace anyway... it's all about the face, not the clothes!) The necklace does not work with the busy pattern of the shirt and also it hangs a bit low on the black shirt though I do like the contrast 👍

Thank you, Palestrina. I will try Silver or Gold ones on the colorful shirt. Great thoughts, btw!

I'd choose a string of pearls. They're nice and simple, and would bring out the white accents on the blouse.

Thanks, DLS!
I tried various chains and necklaces, Burlington Coat Factory has a good choice of these fashion necklaces for $7 and such, I think I will go with a necklace that has a long gold chain with a small pendant-like pattern in the chest that is in Pink. Pearls is also a good idea! |
Oh I love this shirt and the chevron pattern. You should post pics of the necklace(s) you chose! :)
