Question about Ovulation

I know we all get sodium and pre-tom bloat but is weight flux during ovulation a common thing?

Sometimes I feel "hormonal" during this time just as much as PMS.

Any feedback appreciated. :)

I'm not sure about the bloating, but some months I get emotional around the time I'm ovulating. I can usually tell because I'll cry at really silly things. The other day, I was crying while watching Cheaper by the Dozen 2.

Did a little internet searching and it looks like yes, some people gain around that time.

I don't get bloated but I crave a little extra comfort food during ovulation.

I do gain few extra kilos when i am ovulating. that is for sure. it's water and the weight come back immediatly after the first day of my periods.

Yes to the water gain. I find as I get older that the ovulation symptoms are more intense than the PMS (I mean in comparative degree), not that they're worse over the years as a whole.

For me yes! Years ago I used to post about this on 3FC actually, that I get like a mini pms aound ovulation. Over the past few years it has seemed to subside and my cycle has gotten REALLY wacky....anywhere from 17-36 days. That's how we had our surprise actually. I was CERTAIN I was PMSing and that we were fine to ummmm, well anyway turns out my pms symptoms were O symptoms and well... :D

Yes, a mini pms! Must come with age or I just never put 2 and 2 together. Some of us females don't get a break.

My scale doesn't move for about a week around ovulation. It's annoying, but I charted my weight loss against my cycle dates for a few months and the patterns were pretty consistent.
