Keep in mind the ads are "smart" because they're designed to correlate with what you search for with your browser. I get a lot of restaurant ads because I'm constantly looking up nutrition info for them! The latest haunting me is Red Robin.
I turned off the "smart ads" option on my iPad, and all of a sudden I started getting really weird ads -- for example, an ad in Spanish for maxi pads. I quickly turned smart ads back on. I much prefer my innocuous LOFT and Title 9 ads... LOL
Newleaf - too funny! I think after hearing that I will leave smart adds on. I currently have adds for a window blinds store and caoch purse. I did recently look at the coach website and I've been browsing new windows for the house. All my googles are boring and usually house / home decore related, so I dont mind them
