A friend of mine just got diagnosed with Stage IV kidney cancer. He just had surgery to remove a tumor from his brain and has over 40lumps in his lungs. The prognosis is dire, and he is a healthy 40yr old, never drank, never smoked, always ate really well and had been going to the doctor regularly. It was a total shock. He makes constant updates on facebook and I am tuned in daily. On a personal level it makes me grateful for every moment of relatively good health I enjoy and I try never to take it for granted. |
Wounds that won't heal, asymmetrical swelling, discoloration, and high bp are not things that will go away or even really get better if he's just going to the gym and getting out more. I mean, those things are admirable and important but this guy needs to see a doctor. Like everyone else, I am NEVER in favor of a "fat" intervention, but this guy is in the midst of a health crisis that's going to require medical intervention.
