Meanwhile, have y'all heard/seen the announcement that Matt Smith is leaving the show at the end of this year? There will be a regeneration during the Christmas special. I really thought he was going to stay for series 8 :( He was my first Doctor, & he was extraordinary. I will miss him!

I've only just finished season 1 so I'm working on catching up. My boyfriend wants me to be ready for the Christmas special. :)

I honestly got the shivers when I saw this thread title. Then I remembered that today is BW day!

I'm planting references, but doing it half-heartedly. Eleven was my first doctor, and I'm still crying when I read stuff about Matt leaving. I know it'll be okay eventually and Whovians will love Twelve, but I'm going to be depressed about it for a while.

I need to get caught up. I made it to season 3 and then got rid of Netflix. David Tennat was my first doctor. I adore him. I am loking forward to seeing number 11.

You're in for a treat! Series 4 was amazing, and then Eleven is (IMO) the best Doctor yet.

Series 4 also houses two of my favourite eps, Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead.

I haven't seen series seven yet...but sad to see Matt Smith go - I didn't really like him at first as I was a little in love with David Tenant's Doctor, but I'm sure the next Doctor will grow on me as well.

I can't wait. :)

My first doctor was Tom Baker so I've been through quite a few regenerations. I was definitely bummed to hear that Matt was leaving but excited to see what happens next.

@Lacey: I so very much agree with you that 11 is the best Doctor. He just is.
@Steph: I forget, which Doctor was Tom Baker? I haven't seen much Classic Who, sadly.


One of my favorite episodes is on tv this afternoon, "Tooth & Claw," when Rose & 10 meet Queen Victoria. I love that David uses his natural Scottish accent in this episode, I rather enjoy hearing it (much more than his British-accented voice). I also love that Rose keeps trying to get the Queen to say "We are not amused!" Great episode :D

My first Doctor was Nine...but I have enjoyed Ten and Eleven quite a bit! The only other Doctor I have seen is Five and I am pretty fond of him too :D

I was actually pleased when I read that Matt Smith is leaving. I have loved him...but I think that occasional regenerations make the show stronger. And I am excited to see what/who is coming next!!

My first doctor was Christopher E. who in my opinion, didn't begin to stay long enough! WAH!!!!

Sighs...I liked Matt....dang it!
