When it rains....

As many of you know I've been having some worsening health issues that have kept me from being here as often as I'd like, and now I have another. Several days ago I found a bb sized lump im my breast - hard and immobile. Saw my doc today and he scheduled a mammogram and a sonagram for me on Thursday. There's a good chance that it's benign, possibly scar tissue from surgery I had ten years ago (to remove a fatty tumor that turned out to be scar tissue from an auto accident years before). This lump doesn't feel at all like that one did. It's hard and unmoveable - the last one was like a small soft-boiled egg.

My blood pressure was WAY up from my normal, but my doctor wasn't worried about that. Emotionally, I'm all over the place - calm and collected one minute and terrified the next. I did a little self-medicating with chocolate and thai papaya salad (super spicy foods are comfort foods for me). Hubby and I were saving for some dental work I need badly, but it'll have to wait now. I know this is more important, but I was really looking forward to having a nice smile again. Oh well.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this scare. Only one more day and then you'll have some answers. (I would be an emotional mess too, though.)

Hopefully, the doctor will give you happy news and you'll really be smiling!

Keeping you in my prayers, Kaplods. I hope it's nothing but if it is, thank God they found it.

My blood pressure goes off the charts too when I'm nervous or stressed and the more I try to calm down the higher it gets. The last time I went in for surgery it was 171/100. I had several nurses ask me if I was ok! Um, no. I'm nervous!

Hopefully the time flies by for you until your appointment and you won't have to wait too long for the results.

 Thinking of you. So glad you don't have to wait long for the tests. Please update us as you know more.

Kaplods, sending good positive energy your way. You are an inspiration to everyone on 3FC.

I had a mammogram last Friday for unusual pain in my right breast. Anxiously awaiting the results tomorrow.

Thank you all so much. I just got home from the mammogram - the diagnosis: benign calcifications. Big sigh of relief.

Thinin08, wishing you the same good fortune.

This is the kind of stress you don't realize is such a burden until it's suddenly lifted. So glad it didn't have to be a drawn our process.
