I'm going out tonight!

For years I've been telling my husband I've wanted to see Terry Fator, but he rolled his eyes at the thought of seeing a ventriloquist. Like many, I first saw him on America's Got Talent back when he first auditioned and thought it would be so fun to see him in person. :^:

The hubby noticed he was on Netflix a few weeks back, so he played the show and told me I could get my fix that way. :p But when he watched with me, he was impressed and finally understood why I've been wanting to see him in person! After he looked into buying tickets, he realized that he could earn some from free ones by spending time playing MyVegas. :) So tonight we're headed to the Mirage. First we'll have dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, then we're off to see the show. I'm excited for several reasons . . .

First off, theater seats will not be an issue! I've had anxieties about theater seating in the past, especially at my highest weight and even when I was only 50 pounds up from now (when we saw Lion King at Mandalay Bay). I know I can concentrate on enjoying the show without worrying about whether or not I'll be comfortable in the seat.

Second, there's no worry about what I'm going to eat while we're out. I typically order a wheat thin veggie pizza from CPK and take half home for the next day's lunch, but because of the show I can't keep leftovers, and I don't want half a pizza to go to waste (or waist). So I'm planning on trying their grilled chicken chimichurri which looks pretty good and is reasonable in calories.

And third, it's Terry Fator! :D We've got great seats for the show and didn't have to spend a dime on it. I'm going to pick out a nice outfit, do my hair, and have a memorable night out with the hubby. :cp:

It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful, anxiety free evening! Good job! I'm going to have to check out Terry Fator on Netflix now.

All very very awesome!!! One of my first NSV's the "Scale isn't lying to you, it's really happening" Moments was when I went to a concert and sat comfortably in a venue I couldn't handle 10 months earlier. It's an awesome feeling!

Enjoy your night out!

Thanks everyone! I had so much fun last night! We really enjoyed dinner, and one of our relatives even treated us . . .

I suggested that the hubby and I split a dessert. A few bites would have been nice, but he wasn't hungry so we didn't go for any at all. :) As we walked around the shops, he offered to buy me dessert or a snack, but nah, I knew I didn't need it (and more importantly, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything by saying no). ;)

We were among the first to enter the theater, and we had amazing aisle seats in the second row! There was a photographer running around; I used to totally hide from those guys but apparently I lit up when he approached. :p He told us to look for the kiosk after the show if we were interested in buying them.

The show itself was awesome. :D We got to see new characters and brought home a Winston puppet. Oh, and after the show we bought the photos! Here's one of them . . .

The seat was not a concern at all, I had room on both sides. :) And more amazingly, there was even enough room to cross my legs! :dizzy: My legs haven't even been small enough to do that for very long, maybe just in the past month or two. It's also kind of awesome that I don't really feel self-conscious in photos anymore. :D

It wasn't very long ago that it was a complete struggle to go out like this because it was so exhausting. As much as I enjoyed Lion King last year, I was ready to cry on the long walk back to the car. But after last night's show I was jumping and skipping around like a kid. It was definitely a night to remember. :)
