I'm not a stylist, but as a customer, I probably wouldn't go to a stylist that worked only 9-5 because it doesn't fit with my schedule (I refuse to give up my Saturdays for errands I can do before/after work). Mine starts at 6:00 a.m. several days a week to accommodate customers who want to have their hair done before work. I know she takes time off in the middle of the day on those days and then works approx 6pm to 9 or 10.

:?: LOTS of people get their hair done in the middle of the day, myself being one of them.

People keep focusing on my hours and forget I said I was a stylist in the past and was very busy during those hours. My question was about current average yearly salary which nobody seems to know, so the mods can close this thread.
