Lol!
Okay so after having my breakfast of pancakes and sausage just now (oatmeal pancakes and turkey sausage!), I decided to head over to Google to search for healthier alternatives to pancake syrup. We have the "reduced calorie" kind, but it still packs a heavy punch at 100 calories a serving, and all it is just straight sugar, really, even if it's lower cal.
The funny thing is that I came across this article: http://voices.yahoo.com/17-healthier...77.html?cat=22 I just found it funny that a list for healthier alternatives includes things like cake frosting and ice cream, lol. Uh, I thought we were going a healthy route, here? |
I can't get the article to open, but if you cook fresh fruit, the juices release and it's yummy poured over pancakes.
Ugh! It opened....blueberry pie filling? Perhaps the writer and I have different definitions of "healthier." |
I notice the link's being slow to open, too; I don't know why, I put it in right. O.o
EDIT: I tried clicking on the link from Google again and it's not wanting to open there, either. Maybe the site's having problems. |
Two funny things about trying to eat healthfully:
1.) There is NO WAY a carrot is a good substitute for brownies. I don't care what diet counselors say. 2.) I chuckle when I see a magazine cover with some wonderful, yummy dessert and along the side of the cover are tips to lose weight. That recipe never seems to be part of the diet program. |
Have you tried the Walden Farms syrup? I never have, but it got great reviews from people on Amazon. Most people said they were skeptical about it because they found other Walden Farms products to be terrible, but really liked the syrup.

I guess maybe if you use sugar free ice cream
