PMS and that good stuff (WOMEN!!)

So, I just recently started getting my period like every single month (probably from my hormones adjusting after losing almost 30 lbs), and I haven't figured out how long is appropriate to wait before weighing after my period ends. I work out as much as I can while on my period, so I'm not terribly worried that I'm going to gain 5 pounds in the 5-7 days, but I didn't like seeing the waterweight increase the week before.

So, how long do you ladies wait before stepping back on the scale?

I'll usually wait two days after I start my cycle to start weighing again. This seems to be a sufficient amount of time to get the water weight off since my rate of micturation (um, peeing) increases!

Well, I still get on the scale because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment. But because of this, I've learned that the water weight will not budge for a full week until after my period starts.

my gain starts about 2 days before and the water weight doesnt come off for about 5 days after my period starts (around when my period ends)

I don't wait and just weigh consistently throughout, as I do every other day of the month. That said, I begin to notice hormonal water retention a good 3-5 days before my period and it doesn't subside until 4-5 days into it, sometimes more. Bummer, but that's how it goes.

Yeah, I think I've figured out that I start retaining water 3-4 days before I start and then I stop retaining about 3 days after it ends. I think that sounds about right.

I've never had to deal with this stuff (having my period every month and also having to weigh) before (in all 6 years of being a woman), so this is all so new!

I weigh every day, usually the weight drops the last day of my period.
