  • For all of you sweet wine connoisseurs, can you suggest to me different kinds of sweet wine that are DELICIOUS !!!!!!!!! I have tried dry wine but I don't like it. I need something that is SWEET SWEET SWEET. I'm wanting to find a few good sweet wines to keep on stock at home.
  • Moscato is nice.
  • Are all of the Moscatos nice and sweet? Anyone name that you prefer over another?
  • Relax Riesling is my favorite.
  • Ballatore Sparkling Wine... it is so good and it's only 8 bucks at Walmart.
  • re:
Yes, moscatos and rieslings seem to be the sweetest. You can get a dry riesling though, so best thing to do is fine a close winery and have a taste - or more than one taste.

If you want something cheap and pretty good for sweet, Beringer makes a moscato that's usually found everywhere for around $5.
  • I agree with the Moscatos being the sweetest. Barefoot has a good moscato and it's usually under $6.00. Copolla also has one (it's pink) and I think that one runs between $8-9.
  • I'm so excited. I'm writing ALL of the suggestions down. I wanna try ALL of them. LOL

    Keep'em coming.
  • Being in Louisiana, you may also find local muscadine wines. Those are usually sweet too.
  • *warning: Canadianism imminent:*

If you don't mind the price, ice wines are very sweet....
  • Ice wines are SUUUUUUPER sweet.

What about cheap "questionably wine" wines like Carlo Rossi? All those are SWEET.
  • Ooh, LAGreenEyes- I'm glad you asked this. I was getting tired of beer and liquor and wanted wine instead but I wanted a sweet wine and frankly, it's hard to find a good riesling that I like. Thank you so much for making this thread!

Now if I can manage not to kill a whole bottle in one night, that'd be great.
  • Try martini Rose for a nice sparkling wine. Tastes a bit like a bubbly riesling
  • I really only like sweet wines - hubby says I only drink the "Kool-Aids of wine."

I've not ever tried a Moscat or Moscato I didn't like (supposedly there's a red Moscato, but I've never seen it).

I like Moscato d' Asti (sparkling Moscato) the best. It reminds me of white grape Diet Rite (I used to love that, but I can't seem to find it any more).

There is a red moscato - Beringer makes one although I don't see it in the store nearly as often. It's still good, but not as sweet.
