My boss just whined at me today that I need to wear a shirt under my scrub top because sometimes when I bend you can see a bit of my tatt on my lower back when my scrub top hikes up. I've been working there almost 5 years and now it's a problem if he gets a 3 second flash of part of a tatt? I'll put an Ace bandage over it or something but I'm not wearing double shirts in August. He'll have to get over it.

Wearing the hair down is totally not an option I work at advantage sales and marketing...a fancy way of saying I cook food and cut it into free samples at Sam's club.
I wore my flesh tones today but the boss wasn't there so I guess I have to wait until I work on Thursday to know what's what. Supposedly they are interviewing on Saturday for the open manager position...just going to give it all I got and see. Maybe they will realize i am at least trying.

Even if you can't wear your hair down, you could wear it back rather than up. A loose pony tail, gathered low can still cover your ears.

When I had a really disgusting rash on my right earlobe. While it healed (when I wasn't home) I'd pull my hair back, but low into a ponytail or loose but so my hair covered my ears. I never wear it down, because I absolutely hate having stray hairs falling in front of my face.

And I agree that gluing an earing to a plug would also be a great option. So long as the earing is slightly larger than the plug, it should camouflage the plug completely. You could bend the post back, or you could go to JoAnn's, Michael's or even Walmart and find jewelry making bits that ccould be used as an earing. It just has to be a flat disk that is slightly larger than your gauge.

Good luck.

I agree with all of this. I'm not sure how big your gauges are, but something like this looks polished and could mask your plugs if they're glued to them. As a plus, these can be found at Claire's and are only $7.

The ones I have now have holes for studs. Unfortunately the ones I have draw MORE attention even though they are flesh tones because I am so pale.
My boss seems to prefer them even though I get told on a daily basis they look stupid. Great for my self esteem!! Can't hid them cause not only do I have to put my hair up, I have to wear a baseball style hat. I just give up.
If you have kids it's ok to gauge up to a point where it will still close, I'm not against that, bit once they hit a 0 stop them!!!! After that you hit your braking point (named for the awful audible snap you hear when you hit it) after that your done.
