Anyone in central Arkansas want a dog???
 

I'm at a loss of what to do. I rescued 2 dogs several months ago. They came up to us one day after each other, starved and skinny and desperate for help. About a month ago sadly we found the girl of the pair hit by a car an buried her in te backyard. The boy was distraught at losing her and I have been taking care of just him the past few months. I am guessing he is 7 mo old or so now. I believe he is a pointer mix, black and white, tall with big paws. He is still a pup, squats to pee and is not sexually mature yet.

I can't stomach taking him to the pound where he will be killed, he's not a cute little pup anymore so his chances are slim of being adopted in time. All the shelters are full. All people that have inquired about taking him never get back to me. I just can't find him a home, and I'm quickly running out of food and c ant afford to keep buying it. I will HAVE to send him to the pound in the next few weeks and I just can't stomach it, it breaks my heart. If there is anyone in central Arkansas that want to rescue them please please get in contact with me... I don't want to send him to his death. :(

See if you can find a pointer rescue group. Go to Petfinder.com and see what rescue groups they have in Arkansas.

Ditto on Petfinder. There are lots of small rescue agencies all over the country for various animals that you won't find anywhere else because they just don't have the money to advertise themselves. We found our new rabbits that way!
