Eyebrow Threading

Has anyone ever had an eyebrow threading? I saw them threading in the mall and I was wondering if this is painful.

What are your stories or thoughts about eyebrow threading?

I get my eyebrows threaded once in every 2 weeks. Like tweezing, it stings at first and then becomes numb. I prefer threading because my eyebrows are shaped more evenly with threading than waxing.

Yes and I prefer it. It pinches/stings but I like the end result and it lasts longer. If you've ever waxed, try to remember your first time waxing. :)

I get mine done every few weeks. I love it! Lasts much longer than plucking and I will NOT put hot wax near my eyes. A little painful, yes, but it's only for a few moments

It's the only way to get your eyebrows done! I've been doing it for 15 years!

I would love to try it, but I don't want to have it done in the middle of the mall lol

I do my own threading as my eyebrows are pretty easy to shape and maintain, it also works well if you want to do your upper lip etc too. Takes a bit of practice but it's really not difficult in my opinion :-) And all you need is a piece of thread!

Love it. Doesn't hurt any more or less than tweezing or waxing. I've found that my skin reacts better to the threading than to the waxing. I'm always red for quite awhile after waxing.

You've actually reminded me that I HAVE to get this done. We have a wedding Saturday.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will give it a try. I call my eyebrows "caterpillars", so you can imagine how thick they are. LOL

I had it done about 3 weeks ago. I was always afraid to do it, but one day mustered up the courage. I didn't find it very painful, equivalent to waxing, and the redness only lasted about 30 minutes as opposed to hours with waxing. The hair did start growing back after a few weeks, however I think if I kept going back it would probably be minimal. :)

I'm waiting on my eyebrows to grow back really thick so that I can go and get them threaded. I am so excited!!!!!!!

I do mine too. It's much quicker and cleaner than tweezing. I personally wouldn't bother paying someone as it's really easy to do yourself.

I prefer doing it myself. I tweeze, yes, but also use a mini-razor (found in most general stores, like walmart), which is smaller than the top of a pen cap, to clean up strays. The razor makes all the difference, and it lasts longer.

They do them around my area for 3$! I have my momma do it for me, she's old school and used to do my armpits like that when I was young too lol

I love it, it grows back so much softer, and it stays nice and you can have a really nice shape made out of your eyebrows :D love it!

Says the Persian girl with bushy eyebrows lol

I get mine threaded, when I can find a place that does it! I think it lasts a lot longer, and looks better, than waxing. It's really not any more painful than waxing, either.
