I use to do role playing in AOL chat rooms and we'd usually translate English words into Swahili so we could have meaningful character names. Dakizo was the word I got when I translated "contradiction". I've had 8 million role playing characters and Dakizo wasn't even a major one but I really liked the word so it became my online persona. But when World of Warcraft came out I cut it up into Daki and Izo for two characters in that game and Daki was the character I was most known on.
Plus the people I'm friends with in real life now are people I met through World of Warcraft (Moved here to be with a boyfriend and they all just so happened to live here too) and they still slip up and call me Daki sometimes.
Because we had 2 dogs...and my love of them, my screen names have always reflected them. Now we just have one old pup....who is my heart pup. Over time I have been puppyluv, JessieBlue (her name) and now the Dawg House...simple.
mine's pretty easy, we have three kids and we have a Sheltie, lol. We have a Great Dane too, but we only had our Sheltie when I first starting using this screen name
Mine is kind of a private irony...glamour girl sounds like a diva! but I'm a no make-up wearing, t-shirt and jeans tomboy! When I picked the name I was going for something out of my comfort zone, because I needed to push myself out of my comfort zone to lose weight...the 827 is just random numbers because I think glamourgirl with number was taken?? I don't remember. lol My profile pic is the originally one I picked too. never changed it, maybe I should...
Mine is what I finally admitted I needed to do when I joined this site.
It's still a daily battle to really take control, but something my username reminds me I NEED to keep working at if this journey is going to have a happily ever after
I loved my old screen name but it was the same as an old email and multiple accounts that had to be closed down/abandoned due to an internet stalking ex. I needed to come up with something quick and after I had time to clear my head I changed it to Spinach. Honestly I was surprised no one had taken it already and I eat soooo much of the stuff I'm surprised my veins aren't green.
I live in a beach community (not ON the beach, but very near it.) I'm forever "patrolling" the beach, looking for interesting seashells, or finding cool stuff people have lost, etc. while constantly on the look out for litterbugs & preaching to them about how their bad habit hurts our ocean & its inhabitants!
