Took this to the Northern Virginia Ethical Society meeting today. I've been waiting for years to have an opportunity to make this cake for something. April Fool's Day seemed a perfect opportunity. Sign says: The Flying Spaghetti Monster was here. We have been touched by his noodly appendage. My husband then announced that the Flying Spaghetti Monster also performed a miracle by turning spaghetti into cake.

A couple people really thought I brought in spaghetti and meatballs!

Here's what's left of it. My son who is afraid to try new foods won't try this cake even though he loves cake. Why? Because it looked too much like the real thing!

It's a dark chocolate cake with strawberry sauce inbetween layers and on top and italian buttercream icing.

amazing job!! if i didn't see the "after" pic, i would argue that it most definitly IS spaghetti. lol

Thanks! The meatballs are the only thing I didn't make. They are ferraro rocher Chocolates covered in a strawberry sauce.
