Songs that inspire you...

  • Not all 'inspirational' music has to be the hokey religious kind (but it can be, I suppose, if you like that sort of thing). What songs inspire you? I'm looking mainly for songs that inspire you to stick with something (weight loss, for example), get back up after you fall, pursue something you want, etc. BUT! Anything that inspires you, period, is welcome. Include a link from youtube to the song on for extra points!

    Here's a few of mine.

Shake it Out - Florence + the Machine

Dog Days are Over - Florence + the Machine

    Katy Perry - Firework

  • I Just Want to Celebrate - Rare Earth
Sexy and I Know It - LMFAO
  • This is going to sound off the wall, but a song that really motiviates me is Kate Bush's song "Woman's Work". You can find it on YouTube. It is off the wall of a song selection because the song is actually about a woman giving birth and there being some type of complication during delivery. I didn't know this until I really paid attention to the lyrics. I just LOVE the melody of the music. It starts off really sweet and soft, but towards the middle to end of the song, it's very up-lifting. Perhaps that's not the best way to describe it. It's like a music crescendo.
  • Miley Cyrus- The Climb ..
  • A Praise Chorus - Jimmy Eat World
  • This one is not well known, but it really moves me. It got me through a terrible time with migraines - 20 migraines in the 28 days of February, then I stopped counting.

    The Young Dubliners - Neverending
