Dress Ideas Needed!

Hello,

I have seen various threads where you fabulous ladies give ideas for what to wear to events. So here is my event: A hollywood themed Quincenera, there will be a red carpet "paparazzi" and all that glitz and glamour stuff.

Anyway I'm stuck as to what to wear I know I want to wear a dress and we are encouraged to dress glitzy seeing as how that is how the event is but I'm lost :?: . So what do you ladies think? I'm an hourglass shape and I have a big bust.
The party is in a little over a month. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Oooooh a Quinceanera! How fun!

My first thought for red carpet and glitzy is a floor length prom-type dress... though not "poofy". More sleek.

Shape ideas here, and here.

Since you said bigger bust, I thought something with straps might be best for support.

While glitzy can easily be added on with costume jewelry, the dresses I think that look classy are satiny with only a small bit of flash on the actual dress. Yet they still say "red carpet", and you won't show up the girl of honor.

Of course, if you ARE hoping for a bedazzled dress, maybe something more like this?

(Note: I wasn't looking at prices. Just looking at shape and style for examples.)

ETA: You might be able to find some cheaper prom-type dresses out there seeing as prom season isn't until Spring. Like at David's Bridal or something. I saw some on their site for under $100. That's maybe not cheap, of course, but I'm sure there are better deals out there.

I love the shape and colors of this dress. http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?...Id=73298|73299

Dresses made from this material drape beautifully, and it's a style that could be used for other occasions: http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?...Id=73298|73299

The color on this dress is gorgeous- it's nice if you want something more showy: http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?...298|73299&sa=1

It is! I want one for myself; I've got no event to wear it to, but I wouldn't mind it hanging on the wall, it's that beautiful.

Wow...those dresses are stunning! Now I know where to come when I need fashion advice! (getting the money to shop, or an event to wear the dress is a different story ;))
