agree that the best thing is to get professionally fit - also different manufacturers fit differently as do different styles.
One thing to remember is that cup sizes change with band sizes. So the cup on a 32D is not the same size as the cup on a 38D, even though they are both d-cups. Also not every company uses the same sizing so depending on the mfg, a DDD or an E or an F may all be the same size Do you have Lady Grace where you are? I know they are in New England but not sure if they are in CT. There is a Nordstrom near Hartford if you are anywhere close to that. |
April Snow,
Alas I am a long drive away from Hartford, I'm closer to New Haven. I did go bra shopping today...to look, not buy. I tried on several bras and have discovered I'm still a comfortable 40D/DD depending on bra. So since I haven't changed dramatically in this department, I am good for now. I am going to hunt around a bit for these demis, balconettes and petites. I hope to find a store somewhere that I can check them out in person. We will see |
At the moment, the whole bra size thing, is the bane of my existence.
I'm 51, I started out, in the spring with NO boobs, by the time school started, I was a 34D. *faints* Over the years, the girls have grown, and I had kids, and I nursed, and then there was gravity. *sigh* Now they are big and long, and I've lost weight, and I have no idea what size I really am. What I do know, is that I do not have a bra that really fits like it should. I do know, from experience, that I have to have an underwire, because the girls, are kinda like half set jello, and will sneak out from under anything that is not underwire. The good news is, the DH has an appt with his heart Dr. next week in the big city, Denver. Denver is 3 hours from where I live, out in the sticks. I found a good place, online, that has bra's I like, cute, yet look comfy and supportive, so we are going for an appt. at the bra store!:carrot: Yeah, $34 each is pricey, but if they work, I'm all for it. And I will let them measure me in all my glory, in front of the DH. But then, he likes them, so it's all good. VS is not for me, the straps are too skinny, would eat my shoulders. http://www.soma.com is where we are going!:carrot: Us girls where our bras a lot, they should be comfy, and fit right, and keep the girls where they should be! Wish me luck in my shopping! |
