In my home,I have the tv or radio(talk radio) on during the day...even when I am not watching or actively listening to it.Now outdoors,I love the sound of nature...to bad there are way to many noises coming from other sources to not allow me to enjoy that sound. When I fall asleep,it has to be quiet, otherwise I'm singing along to the songs in my head and it takes even that much longer to fall asleep...as it is,it takes me a long time to doze off.

I'm a total sound addict.

I prefer talk over music most of the time. I've recently realized that I stay so much more sane if I listen to comedy talk radio all day at work (thank god for the SiriusXM app on my phone!). I'll listen to things multiple times for the sake of having something to listen to... my favorite radio show is 6-11am and replays from 3-8pm and sometimes I hear the second half of it twice. :P

If I'm exercising at home I have the TV on, and if I'm running or something I have music.

If I'm falling asleep in a weird place (like taking a nap on the couch or sleeping on an airplane) I need sound. If I'm falling asleep in bed, I need quiet, or really consistent white noise.

Noise really bugs me, but then I have Auditory Processing Disorder on top of CFIDS/ME, so that's hardly surprising. I was a keen classical musician when at school, though.

I love music, but I also like sitting outside and listening to the birds...hubby cant sleep in silence due to ringing in his ears so there is a fan on every night for the last 25 years...
