Kirsties luck may run out. First the fall with Maks , although he is taking the blame for it. Then her shoe coming off, dancers wear shoes with straps so that never happens, I have always felt that Kirstie is just a little bit flaky.
Sorry to see Sugar Ray go as he is such a nice guy. He just didn't get enough votes. I watch every week to see if Bruno is going to have a stroke or explode in some way. |

Wait a minute? How was any of this Kirstie's fault? the top part of her foot did slide out of the shoe when max did that 'not a lift' thing. I've had that happen to my foot before - stayed strapped, but the front of the foot fell out - probably means it was an ill fitting shoe. And how was it Kirstie's fault that Max stumbled? In replays in both you can see she didn't 'do' anything to cause those incidents. bad luck! Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a huge Kirstie Alley fan as far as her personality goes, but I give her tons and tons and tons of credit for putting herself out there - fighting that fight publicly. She's a fighter and a true inspiration - a bit cuckoo or not. |
I'm just saying that a dancers shoe should not come off. I have seen many dancing competitions and have never seen that happen. And as for the fall we don't know what happened Maks is taking the blame ,said he may have had a muscle cramp or something. Kirstie seems to be having a lot of bad luck that's all I am saying.

I agree she behaves flaky - that's kinda her persona but I have never seen Maks so non-snarky. There have been no tears from a Maks b!tch-out like there have been in previous seasons. She seems to have found a way to not bring out his worst. |
Okay, here we go with another elimination day. I have no idea who will go this time. So many stepped up their game for the 1/2 way dance day.
I was not impressed with Hines' dancing - it was just a lot of standing behind Kym. And Ralph looked a little uncomfortable last night and his scores were eh. Neither one of these guys is leaving. Romeo and Chelsea are very physically involved with the dance (unlike Hines) so they shouldn't go. Kirstie performance was good but not technical enough. She still has a major voting audience. Chris Jericho did well as did Petra. Kendra is least likely to make it past tonight. |
I so love this show. I'm really ticked that you can't purchase the seasons on dvd like you can with other shows.
I'm pulling for Kirstie. I love her wit and sassiness. I think that may be why Maks can't make her cry - she'll just give it right back to him plus a little extra. I love to watch the ballroom competition on new year's eve on public tv each year (although I haven't been able to catch it the last few years). What I hate about DWTS is that sometimes they give them songs that are just not fit for the dance being danced and the music actually takes away from the performance. I think that is so unfair to the teams. I've yet to see this done on the real competiions. Latin dances have latin music, not some goofy cooked up theme crap. Anyway....I also like Hines although I don't think he did very well last night because his pro didn't give him enough to do. That seems to happen a lot to the male stars. Who's gonna get the first 10? |
I really hope it's Kendra. She's too stiff and her personality BUGS ME.
|
Move - I think Chelsea will get the first 10 - she is turning into a great dancer and she is physically fit to do a lot of tricks.
I watch the PBS NYE dancing too. I thought I was the only one! I think ABC has contracts to promote certain music like the miley cyrus tune. I saw a discussion somewhere on the guy/gal disparity and they said that although not as physically demanding it is harder for most non-dancing males to be able to move hips, be up on their toes and be graceful and such. Kym, Hines partner, puts herself in the showcase too much. Whenever she wears the scanty fringe you can be sure she wants the attention on her and not her partner. berry - Oh I so agree about Kendra. She had demonstrated that attitude earlier when there was a discussion about her previous stripper & playboy bunny stuff. "That was when I was 18, I'm 25 now and I've grown up." Uh, no you haven't and really it was TMI to mention her 'time of the month' last night. I totally agree with CarrieAnn that elegance is an issue and I would add CLASS in there too. Gotta go - almost time!!! |
Kendra is AMAZING!
|
EZ - Really? AMAZING!!? I suspect you should pull my other leg so I don't walk funny.
I wonder what AMAZING things Kendra will have to say on Piers Morgan's show? I hope its not more TOM info. Petra was graceful to be sure but not well suited to faster intricate dances. I'm not disappointed to see Petra go just surprised that she went before Kendra. |
I don't think Kendra will last much longer.

Trying to dance to some of those songs was ridiculous.
I think Kirstie has in fact lost weight. She said at the beginning that she though she would because of all the activity. |

What is it with the oopsa-daisies heretofore to be known as Kirstie's Jinx this season?? I don't remember there ever being so many missteps and malfunctions!
Mark B. and his ankle. Karina and her spill. Its all up to the voters. Its either Chris or Kendra this week. I think Kendra should go. How many times have I said that?? I think she knows her time is short. She made the media circuit this past week. The shine of Hines is dulling a little with the criticism he got this week. Everyone else looked good. |
