Change in Height?

Well I just got my height measured and apparently I've grown half an inch since I started losing weight. lol. In reality I think my posture is better and I have less holding me down so I can stand taller but what does the measurer know. My BMI magically went down a point in any case. :dizzy:

I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed a similiar effect? Are we all turning into giants?

Haha maybe that explains how in 6th grade I was 5'7 and like 9th grade I was 5'4! What you say sounds right and I hope I dont turn into a giant

I think I better go measure myself now!

I generally measure somewhere on the high end of between 5'4" and 5'5", but I have terrible posture. That's one thing I'm working on as I lose weight. I definitely think that I have moved even closer to 5'5", so that's the one that I use as my official height. I've read that if you measure your height earlier in the day you will generally be standing a little taller than you would later in the day... I'm pretty sure I've measured myself in the morning at just over 5' 5". I think it's rather similar to the shoe size effect several people have commented on: less weight means our musculoskeletal systems are under less stress, less compressed, and we're better able to accurately measure our true height.
