Six and a half hours to go!!!!

If I did my pick 'em right (we do it against the spread and with confidence points, ugh!), I could break the top 10 in my league!

Dang nabbit ~ should have gone with my gut on the first game. Sorry Who Dat girls!! Maybe next year.

Man, I wish I could sleep for a week after that so I could wake up and forget it ever happened. :(

Going to go cry my eyes out some more and maybe pour a drink. I have been too nervous to eat, so heaven knows I have the calories for a big one. :cry:

I went with DH to a New Orleans-style bar to watch the first game and have dinner (shrimp Creole without rice is a fantastic Points value!), and we were sad.

I will be glued to the Packers-Eagles game. GO PACK. (Sorry DH, I know you're a Bears fan ... but I *hate* the Eagles. I'm a Giants fan!)

Actually, it would be better for the Bears to play the Seahawks ... so I'm doing the right thing!

I'm now 0 - 2 for my picks. If I go 0-4 I'll at least be able to gloat to my Packers friend but that will kill me in my league.

Nola, here's what my friend said yesterday that made me feel a little better:

"The Seahawks won, but they won't win the Super Bowl. We lost, but we get to go home to Mardi Gras."

Y'know, I almost hope they DO go ahead and win the Super Bowl just because it'd make every football pundit's head explode. :D

Also, that way we could say, "We lost to the champs!" Heh, but no, not gonna happen. So I'm going to be a Packers fan for the remainder of the post-season (I like the Bears too, but I don't forget 2006's NFC championship game). Or really, anyone but the Falcons!

And yeah, I thought that too: "Well, we lost...but hey, Mardi Gras is coming up!" :)

Steelers did that a few years ago. Went from wild card with a "losing" record to Super Bowl Champs and I think it was the year they beat the Seahawks.

So I'm trying to get ready for the Steelers/Ravens game. It's all I want to think about and I keep getting text from a GUY that doesn't understand why anyone would be obsessed with football. A GUY!! Aren't they supposed to genetically understand a football obsession? I thought it was in their DNA or something. :lol:

Can't wait for this afternoon. I'm actually going to the bar down the road to watch the game.

My son and I (and friends/family) will be down at the sports bar for the early game while the ladies have a baby shower for my daughter in law...

as always, I will be pulling for .....
