But aren't there also studies that say if you imagine doing something enough, that becomes your response when the situation comes up? Lol! Oops! |
That's awesome! Just like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy! (CBT) My husband used that to help with OCD. He put intrusive and bothersome thoughts on a loop tape and listened to them over and over desensitizing himself to them. It worked! I never would have thought of doing this with food.
Honestly, it makes sense both from the CBT perspective and from the way we react to jobs. Those who are around fast food all day, for instance, rarely want it. I made donuts one summer for just two days at a festival and I still don't want one of these donuts! |

i think it would also depend on how good you are with your mind. i'm ok, but i don't think it would work that well for me. plus so many of have no problem just eating the whole bowl even if we've already had some.
it does make sense. like people that work in a bakery all day. they eventually don't want to eat cakes and such. my husband worked at pizza hut in high school. he loves pizza. but it was years before he would eat it again. he still won't buy it. |
