Just wanted to say thanks again!! This community is amazing, and it is ranking at the top of what I am grateful for in 2010 and beyond

Special thanks to those that told me to be of *service* to others to remember my place in this beautiful world. Ive adopted a family that was just last week homeless and is now being placed into subsidized housing...reached out to my coworkers to ask them for some of the harder to find items (microwave, boombox, etc)....and best of all I got to buy a 4yo little girl that was homeless last week her first bike. Wow. Finding some opportunities on xmas day to volunteer while I am in NYC too.

Great suggestion on fostering animals, will check into that.

Saw my doctor yesterday too and he was really, really proud of me for doing all the stress mitigation techniques and offered me an appt with a naturpath in the practice to discuss stress reduction approaches that arent perscriptions. He also agreed to give me a short term supply of anti-anxiety meds (ativan).

I spent last weekend on a beach in San Diego and it certainly did wonders for my stress. So slowly getting better!

That sounds wonderful!

I was feeling down too, and I remembered this thread. Then a volunteering opportunity came along and I stepped up. I definitely felt better.
