I agree with everything mandalinn says.

My boyfriend and I are hardly the fluffy romantic type. We don't really want to get married but if we did we would have separate bedrooms, bank accounts, and there would be a 20 page long prenup "just in case." Like many others have said in this thread, divorce settlements can be brutal and straight up vindictive at times.

i think prenups are a great idea, actually. :)

depends. If you are older and have a lot of assets and/ or children of your own I think it's a good idea. If you are young and have nothing it's pretty hard to split things you don't and may never have. A man who's going around bragging about how you will have to sign away your legal rights to have the priveldge of walking down the isle with his money should probably be avoided at all costs.
