SSI and moving
 

I live in MD with unsupportive parents and I want to move to Ca. I have a representative payee in MD but she is useless. I could get her changed and just move out, but it's a hassle. I'd like to live in Ca. where I once lived before, how does that work? Do I need to get a new payee in California after I've informed Social security of the move?

My dad lives in that area of MD! You're not too far! :) Sorry you're unhappy though. Surely there's a helpline number you can ring in order to get some quality information? I'd assume even a 24-hour hotline.
