Scale recommendation? Which number do YOU count?

I'm wondering what brand/model of a bathroom scale some of you might recommend?? I need something accurate. Not that my current Taylor scale isn't but on my weigh ins I weigh myself 3-4 times and get the same weight, 5-10 minutes later I might step back on and it might vary from 0.5-1.5#. So I'm kind of wondering about whether or not my scale is so accurate...:?:

Another question is which number do you count when you weigh in? If I get on the scale first thing in the morning and weigh myself 4 times and it's the same is that what you'd go with as your "official" weigh in? Even if I step on the scale 5 minutes later and it's a tad higher, and I might check 2 or 3 times and it's different each time...?

For example, this morning I weighed in first thing at I got 166.6# FOUR times. 5 minutes later I stepped on it said 167.4#, again a few seconds later 167.6#, and last 168.0#.

Thanks for you help ladies & gents! :)

Weigh once per day, at the same time each day, after going to the bathroom and before eating or drinking. :)

I agree with ddc. I would say that ideally you eventually reduce it to maybe 2x 3x a week. The fluctuations will drive you crazy and it might eventually discourage you. If you put a couple days in between youŽll be a little less exposed to weight variations unrelated to fat variations.

IMHO, and what works best for me, is to weight myself once a week at most, everytime at the same day of the week, when I wake up, right after I pee...

I hope someone has some good reviews too. I really need to get a digital scale. I had a cheaper one but stepped on it wrong and broke the platform so I have been using a dial scale. I have read all the online reviews but am curious about what scales really last and weigh accurately over long time use.

I have this one, and it is consistent for sure. http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Preci...6985316&sr=1-1

I weigh and record every day and it keeps me focused on my goals. There are fluctuations, but I've learned all about my losing habits (like gaining while ovulating/TOM, before I lose etc) and it doesn't discourage me any more

Having a scale that changes like that sucks!! I always weigh at least twice in a row just to make sure it's the same lol

Awesome! I have been looking at that one. I have been looking at the food scale they make also. I think I can even bundle pack them in my order. Nice to know it's a good scale! Thanks!
